Addressing the company’s unprecedented growth as a provider of physician leadership, staffing, and management for hospital emergency departments and hospital hospitalist services, Align MD, PLLC recently announced the promotion of two key leaders. Current President of Align MD, Dr. Mark Green, also serving as the Tennessee state senator from Clarksville, will assume duties as Chief Executive Officer, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Align MD. Dr. Tony Briningstool, will step in to the role of President of Align MD.
Dr. Green founded Align MD, and as the president led Align MD from one hospital partner to 27 hospital partners spanning both emergency department and hospitalist leadership. “It has been an honor to work with the almost 700 physician, and non physician leaders who put their trust in us as we serve patients throughout the United States. I am excited about what this new role will allow me to do as we continue to lead a revolution in emergency department and hospitalists management and leadership,” said Dr. Green.
Dr. Briningstool came to Align MD in 2011 and has served as the Chief Medical Officer since his arrival. “Tony has been an amazing partner in making Align MD one of the nation’s largest and best providers of emergency department physician leadership. I am excited to have him take on this new role and eager to see the continued growth of the company,” Dr. Green continued.
Align MD provides service in eight states from New Mexico to Georgia, seeing over one million patients per year. In 2015, Align MD was acquired by American Physician Partners, a Brentwood based healthcare Company.
