Our Fall Festival was born as a way to embrace and engage our community in Lincoln County. Our goal was to allow everyone to come onto our campus at Lincoln Medical Center to relax and have fun with their families. We know that many trips to our campus are filled with anxiety, fear, and sometimes sadness, so we wanted our local families to also associate our campus with memories of joy, fun, and fellowship. The staff of Lincoln Medical Center has been part of the community for nearly a century. We are committed to our mission and plan to continue to serve our community for years to come.
Our festival had activity for all ages including bouncy houses, carnival games, music, popcorn, hamburgers, and hotdogs. Vanderbilt Life Flight and Lincoln Medical Center Ambulance Service provided tours of their advanced medical vehicles and equipment. The Patrick Rehab-Wellness Center provided grip strength testing and Lincoln Medical Home Health and Hospice provide blood pressure screenings and education. The Women’s Center and Lincoln and Donalson Care Centers provided focused education training.
One key to quality emergency care is an accurate medical history. The Medical Director of the Emergency Department, Dr. Dorsha James and her staff were onsite to assist community members in filling out Health History Wallet Cards. These card ensure that they will always have their medical history handy when presenting to an Emergency Department.
Our First Annual Community Appreciation Fall Festival was definitely a success. With the participation of our community, EMS resources, facility leaders and the entire staff of Lincoln Medical Center, we enjoyed our festival and look forward to many more in the future.
