We recognize that leading during the COVID-19 pandemic is an unprecedented experience, especially for those of us in the healthcare field. Communication is critical at times like this, so we wanted to share the following updates to address the needs and questions of our multiple audiences. This information will be updated regularly as the situation evolves. As always, our primary focus continues to be fulfilling our mission to enable our providers and hospital partners to deliver safe, compassionate and efficient care to every patient, every time.

For Our Patients:

As mentioned above, our goal is to continue to provide you with safe, compassionate and efficient care. Protocols for testing vary from state to state and hospital to hospital. Through our medical directors located at each hospital, we are working to ensure proper screening processes are in place for patients and that our providers wear the proper protective equipment to ensure their safety and that of our patients. For Our Support Center Employees:

Since March 17, 2020, Support Center employees have had the option to work remotely, with this temporary arrangement re-evaluated on a weekly basis. As we start to think about returning to the office, our number one priority is your safety. Before we begin a staggered return to the office, ServePro will clean and disinfect all three floors. Additionally, as we return, there will be expanded daily cleaning services of the office to ensure safety.

Our ability to social distance as we return will be important for our safety. With that in mind, we are planning a staggered return to the office in the following way:

• Monday, May 4th, Vice Presidents and above return
• Monday, May 11th, those who have offices return
• Monday, June 1st, remaining staff return on a rotating schedule as determined and communicated by your department leader

Please know we will be monitoring COVID-19 updates for the city and surrounding communities and will adjust the return to work timeline, if needed. Our goal is to keep you informed of the plan “at the moment” and ensure your safety. For Our Current Physicians and APCs:

Our primary means for sharing critical information with you during this time is via email. All APP physicians and APCs, particularly our medical directors, are encouraged to check your email at least once a day for important updates and resources. For your convenience, we have created a COVID-19 Resources page on the APP Provider Portal, which can be accessed here.

For Physicians or APCs Interested in Job Opportunities with APP:

While we fully support the intent, we regret that we didn’t have the opportunity to meet you personally due to the cancelation of a number of spring conferences we were scheduled to attend. Due to our significant growth, APP has a number of openings available for emergency medicine and hospital medicine physicians and APCs, and we are still actively hiring. To backfill for quarantined providers, we are also hiring providers on a temporary basis to work on our Mobile APP (MAPP) team. For Hospital Clients:

We have decided to postpone our annual Leadership Conference scheduled for later this month to ensure our on-site medical director is available to provide leadership during this critical time. We are keeping our provider teams regularly advised of updates via email blasts, a resources page on our Provider Portal, and through our leadership discussion forum. One of the advantages of working with a national group like APP is our ability to share best practices and lessons learned from our colleagues across the country.
